Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' daughter's name and birthday revealed

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' first kid has been named now, after three months of the announcement about the birth of their baby girl. Fans were curious enough to know what the Desi girl will name her daughter.

PeeCee and Nick have named their newborn child Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, according to TMZ's acquisition of the birth certificate.

The infant, who was delivered via surrogacy, was born soon after 8 p.m. on January 15 at a hospital in San Diego, according to the official paperwork. While the couple has not made an official remark on the matter, the name Malti is of Sanskrit origin and means small fragrant blossom or moonlight.

On January 22nd, Priyanka and Nick surprised the world by announcing that they had welcomed a baby into their life through surrogacy. During this period, the pair requested seclusion from fans, friends, and the media, and they also declined to reveal the child's name or gender.'

''We are happy to announce that we have welcomed a surrogate baby into our family. We humbly request privacy at this unique time so that we can devote our attention to our family. Thank you very much,'' read the message. 

PeeCee's mother, Madhu Chopra, claimed that the new parents had not decided on a name for the baby as everyone awaited an official announcement from the pair. Madhu talked with the paparazzi for the first time about being a grandmother during a function in Mumbai, according to their official statement.

When asked if the couple had given their child a name, Madhu responded that they were waiting for the priest to give it to them. "Jab pandit naam nikaalege tab hoga," she said, hinting that the couple chose to stick to the Hindu tradition to name their child.
