Priya Marathe, Shantanu Moghe, Aastha Chaudhary and Amit Dolawat in upcoming movie titled 'Second Mother'

Since the lockdown has been partially lifted and TV shows and movies have resumed shooting in Mumbai, a lot of projects which were in pipeline have got green signal from the makers.

We’ve exclusively learned that Sumitra Productions is all set to roll out an intriguing movie titled Second Mother. Rajyapal Singh has been roped in to direct the film.

India Forums have exclusively learned that Pavitra Rishta actress Priya Marathe who essayed the role of Varsha in the daily-soap has been roped in for the project alongside her real-life husband Shantanu Moghe. It will be the first time for Priya and Shantanu to act on-screen together. Shantanu is known for his performance is projects like ‘Swarajrakshak Sambhaji’ and ‘Carry on Maratha’ among others.

Sources also stated that actors Amit Dolawat and Aastha Chaudhary will also be seen in the project and the duo will play husband and wife. The film will revolve around the two couples. While Amit has made a place in the hearts of the viewers with his shows ‘Dev’ and ‘Badi Door Se Aaye Hai’, Aastha has charmed the fans with her performance in shows like ‘Aise Karo Na Vida’ and ‘Adalat’.

The casting for the project has been done by renowned casting director Paresh Patel.
