Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their first pregnancy in August and took the entire Internet by storm. The actress is currently enjoying the pregnancy phase and is due in January 2021.
While Anushka is eight months pregnant, she is relentlessly working and fulfilling her work commitments as she continues to shoot for brands. And now, in a recent Instagram post, the actress pulled off a Yoga asana like a pro.
A heavily pregnant Anushka aced the Shirshasana with the support of her dear husband Virat Kohli. She also mentioned that it was done under the supervision of her yoga teacher. She shared the picture on her official social media handle and has amazed netizens, who are shocked and impressed with her determination.
Sharing the picture, Anushka wrote: "This exercise is 'hands-down' (and legs up) the most difficult one. Throwback. PS - As yoga is a big part of my life, my doctor recommended that I can do all such asanas that I was doing before I was pregnant, barring twists and extreme forward bends, but of course with the appropriate and required support."
She added, “For the Shirshasana, which I have been doing for many years, I ensured that I used the wall for support and also my very able husband supporting me balance, to be extra safe. This was also done under the supervision of my yoga teacher Eefa Shrof who was virtually with me through this session. I'm so glad I could continue my practice through my pregnancy."
In a recent interview, Anushka had also opened up about returning back to work after her delivery and said that she will establish a system at home to ensure that she’s balancing time between baby, home and professional life
