We brought to you the exclusive news about Amrita Raichand quitting Siddharth Tiwary's Shobha Somnath Ki on Zee TV as she didn't want to play a mother to a 20 year old at such an early age in her life. The show will be taking a leap from the 15th of this month.

The latest we hear is that Preeti Puri popular known as Avani Bhabhi of Bidaai will play the character of Maharani Gayatri Devi.

We contacted Preeti who confirmed the news, "Yes I will be playing the character of Maharani Gayatri Devi. It's a very good show and the set is also very grand hence I took up the show. My husband is the project head of this show and he used to always tell me to visit the set but see my destiny brings me here today in the form of an actor. And I don't mind playing the character of a mother either."

Preeti will enter the show from Monday's episode.

We hope that people accept Preeti as the new Maharani Gayatri Devi...
