Batori aka Preeta Jain of Imagine's Jamunia produced by Beyond Dreams finds enacting her character as the most exciting element on sets.

Preeta who started her career from theatres in Bhopal as a child artist, eventually bagged credible roles in Bhojpuri movies too. But during this phase she was always kept away from an opportunity to perform a negative role.

So she expatriates, "I was auditioning for some other serial in Mumbai when I was approached for Batori's role in Jamunia. When I was informed that I had to portray a negative character, I accepted the offer without even giving it a second thought".

Every actor expects the audience to love him/her for the work, but Preeta thinks otherwise. "I want the audience to hate my character; it gives me a sense of satisfaction. The taunts I receive from viewers help me portray my on-screen cruelty in a more determined manner (smiles)".

Although she portrays jealousy and hatred towards Jamunia ( Bhavna Khatri) in the show, they gel very well off screen. "I share a good tuning with all the co-actors, especially Jamunia and Chatori; I take special care of Bhavna when she is involved in physical fight scenes".

We wish that Preeta Jain gets to portray the 'wicked' Batori for as long as she wishes to!!
