Preet Kaur Nayak, who plays Rupali in Gul Khan's 'Imlie,' used to host travel shows in Punjab before making her acting debut in 'Sabki Laadli Bebo'. The actress has opened up about her journey so far in a candid chat with India-Forums.

"In Punjab, I used to do reality series and host travel shows. Sphere Origins' Neelu Shroff spotted me somewhere and called me for an audition for the lead role in 'Jyoti.' I was in Delhi at the time, and had travelled to Mumbai just for the audition. However, things did not go my way. I was really vibrant and spunky because I was anchoring, but Jyoti's demeanor was the polar opposite," Preet said.

Talking about how she bagged 'Sabki Laadli Bebo' in which she played the role of Geet Malhotra, the pretty actress said, "I was about to fly to Canada for a Punjabi movie, and came to Mumbai for a look test. One of the photographers did my photo-shoot while I was in Mumbai. He circulated my pictures in a couple of production houses, after that I received a call for Endemol's 'Sabki Laadli Bebo'."

She further added, "I was in Delhi to attend some talent show, when I learned that I had been selected for 'Sabki Laadli Bebo.' At the time, I was both thrilled and astonished. I relocated from Delhi to Mumbai and there was no turning around after that."
