Police Complaint filed against Swara Bhaskar for abusing a Child Actor, Actress shamed on Twitter; Video below

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar never misses a moment to raise her voice and present her bold opinion on subjects that matter. From politics to pollution, she makes it a point to speak her mind publicly. But it looks like her straight forward and candid behavior has taken a poll against her this time. 

To spill the details on the matter, Swara Bhaskar had addressed a 4-year-old child actor as "chu**ya" on a show titled Son of Abish. The viral video of the actress throwing abusive and cuss words like "chu**ya", "kamina" for the child actor that she had worked with for an ad shoot during her initial days in the industry. She stated that she was pissed by the kid calling her ‘aunty’ and further said that children are basically "evil".

While the audience in the video can be seen laughing at her comments, people on Twitter have shamed the actress for her mean remarks to the kid. Besides the social media wrath, an NGO – Legal Rights Protection Forum has reportedly filed a complaint to the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights and demanded action to be taken against Swara.

One could immediately sense the underlying implicit and unconscious bias in this supposedly "funny" video that too from a person who is widely regarded as Popular by a section of the Indian Media.Such usage of words denigrating language of the innocent Kids of the Southern Part of India spread wrong precedent across India portraying them in a negative picture. It also creates negative impact on the Children where families of different communities/Places/Regions are living together & in this modern society. These type of statements/comments/dialogues are a serious threat to our National Integrity.With this e-mail we request you to examine the comments and take strict action against the said Actress and also order Hotstar Channel and Twitter & Other Social Media platforms to remove the video content immediately from their respective online platforms.
