"Physical assault on doctors is absolutely unacceptable", says Actress Samvedna Suwalka

The current gruesome incident of physical assault on doctors has caught the eyes of everyone in India. Last seen in the Tv show Meri Gudiya, Doctor and Actor Samvedna Suwalka got talking about the recent turn of events, how it is important to have empathy, and more.

Doctor and Actor Samvedna exclusively spoke to India Forums and said, "It's completely shocking to witness such inhuman behaviour and it is absolutely unacceptable. All the medical staff, all over the world, has been working selflessly since the beginning of the pandemic to save as many lives as they can."

Adding to the same, she says, "We couldn't have survived this pandemic without their tireless efforts and the sacrifices they have made for their fellow citizens.''

Many of them lost their own lives while nursing their patients and many lost the lives of their family members. Still, they left no stone unturned to help the public. So the least we can do is show some compassion towards them.

She adds, ''As doctors, they put in all their effort to save the lives of their patients, but it's not entirely up to them. Most patients recover but some can't make it but this isn't the doctor's fault. Strict actions should be taken against those who resort to violence against doctors."

Lastly, she urges people to not resort to violence. "Instead of assaulting them, we should thank them for their work. We have to win the war against coronavirus and it will not be possible unless all citizens support the frontline workers", she says.
