'People have been..': Akashdeep Saigal calls it a 'dream' to be called for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2

Akashdeep Saigal, who rose to fame with his stint in shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Bigg Boss, recently opened up on the former show returning with a sequel. The actor, speaking to Times Now about the same expressed his excitement on KSBKBT returning with a season 2 and said his fans have been waiting to see him on the show.

''I was longing for this. Since Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi ended with me—by then Ansh was gone, his son Eklavya was there. Then, Ronit (Roy) exited because of whatever work he had, and later, Smriti Irani turned into a politician. Everybody got their own different fields. I remember I was the only person there last and then the show ended. It ended quite abruptly,'' Akashdeep tells the portal.

He further mentioned that people have been wanting him back on the show and said, ''So my friends, my family and mostly my fans, they've been waiting for years for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 to come. It's a happy feeling and you're part of such an iconic show and people just want you back in that show. People have been wanting me in that show ever since.''

Akashdeep calls it a 'dream' to be called for the show again and says, ''I don't know what the concept is of the part 2 or the sequel. But it seems like they are going with the original faces, right? It can only be a wish and it can only be a dream that you would be called. I think if I ever be also called for it, it won't be as Ansh. It would be probably as Eklavya. I'm not sure even about.''

For those who do not know, Akashdeep essayed the character of Ansh Gujral in the show and his character remains one of the most iconic ones in the history of Indian Television.
