Peninsula Pictures to roll out a show for Dangal TV; Rani Chatterjee to be a part?

India Forums has exclusively learned that renowned production house Peninsula Pictures is set to roll out a new show for Dangal TV. Sources tell us that the show will be a daily soap. 

Peninsula Pictures has delivered many popular TV shows like Alaadin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga, Tera Kya Hoga Alia, Hero: Gayab Mode On, Thoda Sa Badal Thoda Sa Pani, Alibaba: Daastan-e- Kabul among others. 

Sources also inform us that the makers have approached popular Bhojpuri actress Rani Chatterjee to play an important role in the show. Chatterjee is not only a known name in the Bhojpuri industry but also has worked in Hindi reality TV show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. A source revealed, “Talks with Rani has reached the advanced stage and if everything falls at place, the actress will very much be a part of the project”.

We couldn’t connect with Rani for a comment.

Apart from this show, Star Plus is gearing up for the launch of two new shows by Cockcrow-Shaika Films and SOL productions. Zee TV is all set to lauch ‘Maitree’ starring Namish Taneja and Shrenu Parikh while Colors’ is all set to premiere the much-awaited multi-starrer vampire based show titled ‘Bhediya’.
