Pathan: SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer to not release on Diwali 2022?

Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham will soon be sharing screen space for the highly anticipated spy-thriller ‘Pathan’. While the movie was earlier slated to have a Diwali 2022 release, the buzz is that the makers are planning to release the project a little later, owing to the quality of work required.

Even before its announcement, since word had just started doing the rounds about Pathan, the spy-thriller has been making waves and grabbing headlines, with the audience lapping up every teeny-weeny bit of information they can come across about it. 

According to a report by Bollywood Life, a well-placed source within the industry stated that Pathan might not hit the big screen during the festival as the work pending of the movie might just demand a rethink of its planned release.

The report also stated that,

“Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback to cinema post a self-imposed 4-year break, and since Pathan is a part of a specific production house’s spy universe along with Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif's Tiger franchise and Hrithik Roshan's War, every little detail of the movie is being scrutinized with a fine comb".

Apparently, Aditya Chopra and director Siddharth Anand, who had also worked together in War, are making all efforts to ensure that ‘Pathan’ surpasses all expectations, which requires executing a bunch of high-octane action sequences in exotic locales, involving copious stunt work and high-end VFX, all of which are taking time.

We guess the fans will have to wait a little longer for the most anticipated film.
