Oscars 2024: Sahil Salathia heads to LA for celebration of South Asian talent

The biggest awards in global cinema, the Oscars are just around the corner. On March 11, the biggest laurels in the world of cinema will be given and leading up to it, Paramount is hosting an event to celebrate the South Asian talent. Indian actor Sahil Salathia is going to be representing India at the coveted event in Los Angeles and the artist is enthralled to be attending the same. 

An excited Sahil shares, “I have always believed in doing quality work in my career and I think it has been paying off. I am very excited to be invited to celebrate South Asian excellence at the Oscars this year. I am very excited to meet the 2024 Oscar nominees and the shortlisted filmmakers."

The event will witness the presence of Kal Penn, Lilly Singh, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Tan France, Hannah Simone, Rupi Kaur, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Anita Chatterjee, Shruti Ganguly and Archana Misra. The evening will celebrate South Asian trailblazers who have created a lasting impact with their work in the past year. “The idea behind the massive pre-Oscar celebration presented by Paramount is to increase the impact of South Asians onscreen and offscreen in the world of global entertainment. I am very happy to be there and be a part of it, representing India,” Sahil insists. 

The actor gave an impressive performance last year in the horror series Adhura available on Amazon prime. Known for his impeccable fashion sense, Sahil also represented Indian fashion globally recently as he attended the New York Fashion Week 2024. The actor and the young style icon is taking huge strides in his career and this is another addition to that impressive journey.
