Maharashtra Day is celebrated every year on 1st May to commemorate the formation of Maharashtra united with Mumbai on 1st May 1960. 1st of May, Labour Day, comes as a relief as it is a well-deserved holiday in the midst of heavy shoots and long working hours.

India Forums got in touch with Zee TV actor Manav Gohil who plays the character of Akshay in 'Main Hoon Aparajita' and asked him about his thoughts on the special day.

He said, “The significance of our ‘spot dadas, make-up dada, or other crew members’, who make every shoot a success cannot be overstated. On this day, I would like to express my gratitude to the ones who work behind the camera for their unwavering contributions to our industry. The flawless work that we witness on our screens is a result of the efforts of these unsung heroes who assist us in executing the content. Even during the shooting of 'Main Hoon Aparajita,' I have always observed the punctuality and hard work that the production crew puts in. As an artist, I am deeply grateful to everyone who invests so much time with all their energy in making us feel at ease and taking care of all aspects. I want to commend them for their commitment and hard work. This world wouldn’t be what it is, if not for the contribution of our workers.”

Here's wishing everyone a very happy Maharashtra day!
