Not Karan Singh Grover but Sharad Kelkar to lead Zee TV's upcoming show, actor makes comeback after 8 years

Zee TV's upcoming show by Prateek Sharma's LSD films has been in the news for quite some time now. Names of popular faces like Karan Singh Grover, Ashish Chowdury and others have been rounds in association with the show. It was earlier reported that actor Karan Singh Grover has been finalised to essay the lead role and will be making his television comeback soon.

However, according to a recent report in the Times Of India, not Karan Singh Grover but Sharad Kelkar has been roped in to essay the lead in the Zee TV show and the actor will be making a comeback on television after 8 long years. ''We were seriously considering Karan Singh Grover among others, but after much thought, we found Sharad Kelkar to be the perfect fit for the role. His experience, versatility, and mature appeal made him stand out. Moreover, his portrayal of complex characters in various genres has made him a strong contender for such a unique role. We are excited about his portrayal and expect the chemistry between him and Niharika to be loved by the audience,'' a source close to the show tells the portal.

We were seriously considering Karan Singh Grover among others, but after much thought, we found Sharad Kelkar to be the perfect fit for the role.

For the uninformed, Sharad's last television show was 'Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai' which also starred Shoaib Ibrahim and Surbhi Jyoti in the lead roles. The actor has since then proved his mettle in various OTT & Film projects including Ram Leela, Bhuj: The Pride Of India, Housefull 4, Tanhaji, Bhediya and more.

As for the female lead, Niharika Chouksey has been roped in to essay the titular character in the show.
