Not Jaya, but Amitabh Bachchan wanted to marry this girl!

In an exclusive report by a popular daily, many shocking revelations have been made about megastar Amitabh Bachchan's personal life. The report has leaked many unknown stories about Big B before he shot to fame.

In the report, Amitabh's colleague, Dinesh Kumar, who has worked with him for three years in Kolkata has opened up about Sr. Bachchan's personal life. He informed that it wasn't Jaya Bachchan or Rekha but Amitabh wanted to marry a Maharastrian girl with whom he used to work at ICI (A British company) in Kolkata.

Before earning his name in Bollywood, Amitabh used to work in Kolkata, had eventually left his job when the girl had refused to accept his marriage proposal.

Mr. Dinesh revealed that the girl had approached Amitabh many a times with a marriage proposal earlier but he kept refusing and things eventually didn't work out between them.

The girl left on a world tour with her elder sister. However, when she returned, it was Amitabh who asked her for marriage, but this time she turned down the proposal, leaving him in depression. This was the main reason why he decided to quit his job

Amitabh had resigned from the company on 30^th December, 1968 when his salary was 1500 Rupees. But he was only paid till 30^th Novemeber, 1968. The company's director had even written a letter about the issue to its trustees, after which his dues were settled.

Big B worked as a marketing executive in the company and was among the better performing employees.

In the first week of December, 1968 Amitabh was called up by the company MD Shrikant, to know the reason for resigning from the job. Amitabh who seemed to be a bit disturbed stayed silent for a while and then said that, "It's personal".

Later, on 26^th December, 1968 Mr. Bachchan handed over the company's car key to the respective authority and left the organisation.

That moment is said to be the turning point in Amitabh's life.
