Nobody can make me work against my wish and mood: Pratik Sehajpal on doing household chores in Bigg Boss OTT

Another interesting contestant to join the bandwagon is Pratik Sehajpal. Pratik is a fitness freak and has been a part of two reality shows namely MTV Love School and MTV Ace of Space. He has been a part of few acting projects for ALTBalaji. Pratik shares a sisterly connect with Ace of Space contestant Divya Agarwal who will also be a part of Bigg Boss OTT. Pratik was in a relationship with Bigg Boss 14 contestant Pavitra Punia. Things didn’t workout between the two and they decided to separate. He was supposed to enter Bigg Boss 14, however, due to his acting commitments, he had to let go of the opportunity. As they say, better late than never, Pratik is here to charm the viewers in Bigg Boss OTT. Pratik spoke at length about his participation in the show, in an exclusive interview with India Forums. There were a lot of conjecture surrounding you participation in the show last year. Why did you decide to take up the offer this year?

Honestly, I feel, I was destined to not do the show last year. I had signed the contract and everything was at place, however, at the end moment my acting commitments emerged and I had to take a decision of not doing it last year. I believe in work ethics and believe that it isnt cool to leave a job half done and that’s I decided to skip the previous year, but I’m quite pumped up for the show this year. 

What will be your strategy?

I will be myself. I believe that the audience is very smart to catch the fakeness. Be it fake love, fake friendship or fake animosity, one gets caught if they fake around and that’s what I don’t want to do. I will be my own self and rest will surely fall at place.

Tell us about your favorite household chores.

Well, I’m quite a moody person. If I’m in the mood, I will cook or even clean the toilet. But if I’m not in the mood, nobody can make me do the work. If Bigg Boss intervenes, I will think about what can be done at that moment.

One habit of people that gets on to your nerves.

I hate liars. I can’t stand a lie. I’m a truthful person and like honest people. If somebody fakes around or lies to me, they will have to face the consequences.

Are you paranoid for hygiene?

I like to maintain my own hygiene. Bathing daily, brushing and smelling good is a basic requisite and everybody should follow it. God has given us the body; we should maintain it. I get annoyed with body odor or unhygienic people.

Tell us about your family’s reaction on knowing about your participation in Bigg Boss OTT.

I have always watched Bigg Boss with my mother and she loves the show. My Nani and grandfather also loved the show. My grandfather wanted to see me on the show but unfortunately, he passed away this year. I remember, he used to call me last year asking about my entry in Bigg Boss 14, but that didn’t figure out. It’s upsetting that he won’t be around to see me participate in the show. However, I know he is sending blessings for me from above.
