Business tycoon Gautam Adani has firmly denied widespread rumours about a grand, star-studded wedding for his younger son, Jeet Adani. Speaking to the media during the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Adani confirmed that Jeet will tie the knot with Diva Shah, daughter of diamond trader Jaimin Shah, on February 7. “Our way of life is like that of common people. Jeet’s wedding will be very traditional and simple, with only family members present,” he said.

Addressing rumors that global celebrities, including pop icon Taylor Swift, would attend the ceremony, Adani dismissed them entirely. “Not at all,” he stated when asked about celebrity guests. He also debunked claims about renowned chefs being flown in and hundreds of luxury cars being arranged for the event.

Social media had been buzzing with unverified reports that Jeet’s wedding might mirror the scale and grandeur of Anant Ambani’s recent celebrations. However, Adani clarified that his family values simplicity and tradition over opulence.

Jeet Adani, who joined the family business in 2019 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, plays a key role in managing the Adani Airports business and Adani Digital Labs. His fiancée, Diva Shah, shares a similarly accomplished background as the daughter of a well-known diamond trader. The couple’s engagement, held in March 2023 in Ahmedabad, was also a low-key and private affair, attended only by close family.
