Nitish Bharadwaj opens up about his divorce

Nitish Bharadwaj, best known for his role as Lord Krishna in BR Chopra's TV series Mahabharat, is still loved by the audience for his character . A media reported about him  separated from his wife of 12 years — IAS officer Smita Gate.

According to the reports in a leading portal, Nitish separated from his wife in September 2019. They are parents to twin daughters. Talking about the same, Nitish revealed to the leading paper and mentioned how ‘divorce can be more painful than death’ sometimes.

He said the case has been filed in the Family Court in Mumbai and said that he doesn’t want to get into the reasons for the divorce. He also mentioned that the couple has separated on a sad note and its always the children who suffer the most when a family breaks down. 

Also, when asked whether he is in touch with his daughter, he chose not to comment and said that that he wants to ‘reserve his comments’ on that.
