Roop: Mard Ka Naya Swaroop is getting a satisfactory response from it's viewers. With a new take on mardangi (masculinity) all together, it has a theme which seems promising of bringing some freshly brewed content to our television screens.

In the daily soap, Shashank Vyas plays the titular role . Earlier Nikki Sharma used to essay the role of his elder sister, who is a cop. Now the reports are that Nikki Sharma has been replaced and Aanchal Khurana has been roped in to fill in for the role. Aanchal was last seen in Star Plus Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji, in the role of Madhavi.

In an interaction with TOI, Nikki Sharma confirmed that she has quit the show as she felt that her dates were not being utilized properly. She said that initially, she used to shoot for 25 days, but over the past seven months, she was being called for just three-four days a month.

She was even promised that she will have a separate track post the leap, which didn't happen and it was obviously cut short. Aanchal on the other hand is quiet happy with her new role. She says that after essaying so many negative roles, she wants to do a positive one and this is it.

She told TOI that every time she is offered a negative role, she is asked to play the same Charu from Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. But this role is different and it is what she was looking for.
