New team to be formed in Sony's CID; Hrishikesh Pandey comes back

Fireworks Productions' long running show on Sony, CID is going to have a revamp soon, with the introduction of a whole new investigating team. However, the very much popular team of ACP Pradhyuman (Shivaji Satam), Daya (Dayanand Shetty), Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) and others will still remain as the main investigating CID team.

According to our source, "The new team will have three investigating officers wherein there will be two male officers and one female officer. Hrishikesh Pandey who was earlier part of CID, has been finalized to be part of the new team. Hrishikesh earlier played the role of Abhimanyu in CID. Alka Verma who essayed the role of the officer Muskaan earlier is also slated to get back. The third member to join the team has not been finalized yet. There will also be a new Lady Forensic Officer entering CID. But the actor to play this role has not been finalized".

When contacted, Hrishikesh Pandey confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am back to the CID team. It was very sweet of the production house to call me back. I have a great rapport going with B.P. Singh Sir and others in the cast. I have started shooting for my part, and got a great welcome on the sets".

Hrishikesh Pandey was recently seen in Zee TV's Do Saheliyan Kismat ki Kathputaliyaan.

According to our source, "Hrishikesh will be introduced in the episode to be aired on May 7th. The other officers will be shown entering later".

"With the introduction of the second investigating team, Sony is contemplating on making CID a biweekly show. However, the final decision on this is yet to be taken. If at all this happens, CID will in all probability air every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM slot", informs our source.

We tried calling Producer B.P. Singh, but he remained unavailable.

We also tried calling Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, Sony and even sent him a text message, but did not get any revert.
