New character entering an established show is a responsibility - Riya Bhattacharje on Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Se

Riya Bhattacharje has been seen in shows like Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, Nath and Agni Vayu. Currently she is seen playing the character of Akriti in the show Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey. 

Talking about entering in the show, Riya says, 

"I think it's a huge responsibility when a new character enters an established show. The audience's eyes are on you and you need to exceed the expectations of the audience. So it's quite a challenge but I love the same."

Further, on being asked how much she relates to the character of Akriti, she says, 

"The character is a total contrast to what I am in real life. The character is totally calm and composed. But again its enjoyable to play something which you are not. That's what the job of an actor is - to play the character as if you are the one."

Lastly on being asked about the feedback she is receiving from the audience she says, 

"I have been receiving amazing responses form the audience. Fans are really liking the character and the way she dresses. And it's my first show with Star Plus so I think it's gonna change things for me."

Meanwhile, the show features Manan Joshi and Yesha Rughani in the lead roles.
