Shakti Mohan has never failed to inspire people through her beautiful journey. The contemporary dancing star who has won millions of hearts with her finesse and charm will be seen indulging in a candid chat with host, Mandira Bedi in the upcoming episode of The Love Laugh Live Show Season 2 .

Shakti has been slaying the lockdown in the best way. Sharing her experience during these unprecedented times, she says, “Lockdown has been amazing, I think this has given us and especially me, another life. This has given me time to get closer to my family, closer to myself and realise what are the things I really want to do.” Shakti further talks about expanding her love for dance and getting more productive with it even during the tough times, “In this lockdown I have created a form called ‘Nritya Tribe’ which is a fusion of Indian folk and classical and a little bit of contemporary. So this is what represents me the most.

Emerging as one of the most renowned choreographers of the country, Shakti recalls how her journey began as a dancer. She says, “Never thought I would be dancing, I was preparing to be an IAS officer. I was good at studies, I used to top my class but I loved to dance. So dance just happened accidentally and then I asked myself ‘Should I do it?’ My dad encouraged me saying ‘Just got for it’.” She further added, “When I came to Mumbai, Neeti Didi took me to watch contemporary production, I did not know what contemporary was. I saw it and fell in love and knew that this is exactly what I want to do in my life.” That one visit made her fall in love with the dance form and there was no turning back since then.

Shakti has lived through a remarkable journey in the industry so far, she has achieved immense stardom and love from her fans. But, amongst all this crowd, her sisters have always been her biggest supporter. She talks about their unbound love for each other and comments, “Mukti and I grew up like we were twins, we have gone to the same college, school, shared a phone, we have done all the trips together, we get along, we are more like best friends. Neeti is my god mother and she has always been a part of every decision.”

Today Shakti Mohan stands at the epitome of her career. Cheekily sharing her love for Ranbir Kapoor and talking about choreographing a dance for his upcoming movie Shamshera she says, “Ranbir came on the set and I’m like oh my god this is like the dream to say ‘Action’ to him!

Walking down the memory lane with Mandira, she recalls her initial days in the industry with her mentor Terence Lewis, “He had just met me at that moment and he said, Shakti, you seem like that kind of person, whatever you do in life, you will excel at it.” She further adds, “More than dancing what I learned from him is discipline, punctuality, how to be as a person, how to let things go, how to surrender.”

Well, way to go, isn't it?
