Neil Nitin Mukesh: "Will only do web shows if I am playing the central lead, cannot compromise on that"

With the web world booming to its maximum and blistering content coming on the platform in India, we have seen how some of the biggest Bollywood stars have either already ventured into the web world or have plans to do so soon.

The likes of superstars like Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar have sealed projects set to be coming on the web soon. With this one night wonder if the platform is a desirable place for everyone now. 

For actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, it definitely is but with a twist. Recently, in a conversation, the actor opened up on how he keeps getting acting offers on the web but he doesn't want to do for the heck of it.

He said, “Offers are galore but I don’t want to compromise on quality. I don’t want to do work just for the heck of it. I am open to doing web shows, but they have to be up to the standards, with me as the central lead as I won’t compromise on those things. If the content is direct-to-OTT, it has to be all the better. There are two other films that I am in discussion for, and hopefully they will all happen soon as it has been a while since my last film. I am also very eager to come back on screen."

The actor made his debut in Bollywood as the central man with the critically acclaimed and successful Johnny Gaddar followed by more success in New York as well. However, over the years, he has seen in a mix of roles and more often played a supporting character or antagonist in multiple films.

We are sure the fans would love to see him as the central man in a good web show.
