Neil and Ayesha were taken aback : Siddhartha Vankar on mega performances in Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Meiin

Star Plus show ‘Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Meiin’ is gearing up for a one-of-a-kind sequence in the history of television wherein the lead couple will be seen dancing on not one or two but seven different songs belonging to different era. Not only will the lead pair have seven performances, the makers have planned an elaborated sequences wherein from the background, to props and everything would change with each performance. 

India Forums reached out to the Creative Director of the show Siddhartha Vankar who along with others conceptualized such a grand sequence. Siddhartha said, “It was Rajesh ji’s idea of doing a grand dance sequence. It has been a while that anything of that sort happened in the show. We brainstormed and came up to a conclusion of using the era-based theme wherein Sai and Virat will be seen performing on popular song from different era starting from the 1950s to 2010 songs. It was great fun planning and executing the sequence since Ghum… is a very dramatic show, sequences like these are like breath of fresh air”.

He added, “Thanks to the Director, choreographer and the entire production team. It was indeed a tedious task but we pulled it off brilliantly. We have achieved some amazing shots. The best part is that we achieved what we had visualized. Some pictures are already floating on social media and we’re all elated with the output and the response that we’ve been getting for the sequence”.

Elaborating more about the sequence, Siddhartha added, “Neil and Ayesha had eight outfit changes. It was easier for Neil as he only had costume changes but Ayesha had to change the costumes along with the entire make-up, hairdo and all the elaborated things were planned for her. They both were a sport. The duo does have a crackling chemistry and it’s electric when they’re together and it shows in their performances. So yes, it has been tedious but a very fruitful experience”.

Speaking about the reactions of the actors on learning about the mega performance, he said, “Neil and Ayesha both were taken aback after learning the grandness of the sequence. Neil was very happy but Ayesha was scared. Neil is a fabulous dancer, there’s no doubt about that but Ayesha sometimes runs away from the idea of dancing but I believe Neil really made her comfortable and watching him perform so well, Ayesha too got with it and she has done a brilliant job".

He further added, “We did three songs in one day and another four songs the other day. There were a lot of things going around like the rehearsals, background dancers, changes, make-ups but we pulled it of brilliantly and I’m sure that viewers are going to love the episode. The kind of response that we’ve been getting until now is overwhelming.
