Zee TV's popular fiction show, Meet, has made a special place for itself in the audience's hearts since its premiere. The inspirational show presents the story of Meet Hooda (Ashi Singh), who mirrors several women across the nation, fighting societal norms of gender roles regarding work and responsibilities. Since its inception, Ashi Singh has been acing the role of Meet Hooda, and while she has impressed one and all, it looks like new twists and turns in the storyline will surely spice things up. In fact, a new character – Shanty (Shantanu Rana) has been introduced and looks like he is here to turn the tale on its head!

Played by TV star Ankit Vyas, the rich and spoilt brat – Shanty is all set to create a lot of friction within the Ahlawat family. In fact, viewers will be shocked to find out about his evil plan to marry Meet Ahlawat's (Shagun Pandey) sister – Isha – against her wishes. He will also try to separate Meet Ahlawat and Meet Hooda and create trouble for the happy family.

As Ankit Vyas mentions, "While I feel grateful to be back on TV after a short break, I am even more thrilled to play the role of Shanty Rana in Zee TV’s Meet. He is the spoilt and egoistic son of a politician, who has no respect for girls and anyone who are below his social status. Shanty is an out-and-out negative guy who can change his behavior in front of people effortlessly and fool them. I must say that my character’s negativity will leave everyone shocked beyond belief as such a part hasn’t ever been written! I am quite excited about this part, and I hope people like me in this new role."

While we are excited to see Ankit Vyas entering the show, viewers will be on the edge of their seats as Shanty tries to marry Isha against her will. Will Meet Hooda be able to help her? Or will Shanty be successful in his evil plan?

To find out, watch Meet every Monday to Saturday, at 7.30 pm, only on Zee TV!

Honestly I am liking him as an actor and his character is interesting.

It is always fun seeing strong negative characters played by good actors
