Mushtaq Shiekh joins Sahara One...

Suddenly telly-land is abuzz with news that Mushtaq Shiekh has joined Sahara One as the Creative Director. The grapevine insisted that he has already started rounds of meetings with producers for shows to be aired on the channel.

He has written the book "Shah Rukh Can" – The Life and Times of Shah Rukh Khan too
 
We called him to confirm the news. He confirmed his involvement with Sahara One but categorically stated, "I have joined Sahara One as the Creative Director only for the interim period. My friends Seemanto and Chandni Roy asked me to handle the channel till the time they find somebody adept enough to fill in the shoes".

"But having said that I have tasted blood, and have been enjoying every bit of my work on the channel. TV has always given me an adrenaline rush and is my first love. Before this I had only worked with buddy Ekta for Balaji and now with this channel experience of more than six months, I feel like life has come a full circle", he states.

He was associated with two shows as Content Head on Sahara One. "I was associated with the channel through my shows Mata ki Chowki and Shubh Kadam which I have conceived and written. It's a responsibility given to me by my friends who are family. I will work to the best of my abilities till the next team takes over. And then it will be time for me to move to my movies", he concludes.

Only time will decide whether we can see some good changes when it comes to programming of the channel!!
