It wouldn't be a normal day without digital personality Uorfi Javed making headlines, isn't it? Earlier this morning, people were in for a shock when Javed was apparently arrested by two females who posed as police officers. It was being said that 'someone' registered a complaint against Javed for the clothes that she was wearing, which included a backless top, and that led to the cops arriving and taking her in for further questioning.
However, India Forums had earlier managed to get in touch with a source who confirmed that the arrest in the video wasn't true. And now, with another few hours passing by, the official Instagram page of Mumbai Police has gone on to confirm the very same thing as they also posted about the development of the said case. Their story reads, "One can't violate the law of the land for cheap publicity! A viral video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Mumbai Police in a case of obscenity it not true - insignia & uniform have been misused,
However, a criminal case has been registered against those involved in the misleading video, at Oshiwara Police Station under sections 171, 419, 500, 34 IPC.
While further investigation is on, the fake inspector is under arrest and the vehicle has been seized too #RealityCheck"
Even though the story doesn't mention Javed's name being a part of the ones against whom the complaint is filed but that might definitely be a possibility. For the unversed, Javed is known to make headlines almost on a daily basis and mostly for her fashion choices and bold statements.
