'Mata Ki Chowki', Swastik Pictures' immensely popular drama and numero uno show aired on Sahara One, is gearing up for a dramatic high point on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10 pm.

Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Creative Director, Swastik Pictures, says, "The Hindu shastras call this the age of Kalyug; an era where evil prevails over good and humanity seems to have lost all moral values & spirituality. Saakshi takes the battle to her own grandfather, who is synonymous with evil. The devil in him torments the good people and it's time for a 'Devi' to come to earth to kill the Devil (Asura)." In a situation similar to the Mahabharata, Saakshi's state is similar to that of Arjuna while Mata plays her mentor, friend, philosopher and guide just like Lord Krishna did to Arjuna.
The high point is the culmination of a long narrative, which began with Vaishnavi. This orphan girl was found by the Pandit couple of Vaishno Devi shrine who are childless even after nine years of marriage. She is popularly called "Mata Ki Beti" since she's actively involved in preaching about Mata; sings Jagrata; motivates people to follow preachings of Mata and rescues people from pain and misery, all of which are seen as miracles by the masses.
The story takes a drastic turn when Vaishnavi marries into an house where she has to negotiate against all the evil misdeeds of her in-laws, in order to protect her loved ones. Her faith in Mata sees her sail through every possible hurdle that life throws at her while at the same time her good deeds towards enlightening the masses raises her divine personality amongst them.
