Mohsin Khan: I Will Direct My Own Short Film Once The Lockdown Ends

Mohsin Khan aka Kartik from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was all smiles when we got into a candid conversation with the actor. Mohsin spoke to us about learning a new language,' Pashto’, his quarantine routine, working from home and a lot more

Firstly, we asked the actor what is his homebound routine. Mohsin said, “Well, my entire family has been watching a lot of movies these days. We are on a movie marathon (laughs). A lot of people have been telling me to watch Money Heist and Special Ops but haven’t watched that yet.” Mohsin also spilled beans over his making his TikTok debut. He said, “I would like to make TikTok videos with good dialogues and also I don’t want to lip-sync. I cannot say when I will make a debut but it will be very soon.” 

Speaking about his experience about working from home, Mohsin said, “ We were shooting for the re-run episodes of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Apart from that, I am working out (read my brother is making me workout). Mohsin told us that he is learning a new language ‘Pashto’. 

We went on to ask the actor what would he chose, acting or directing to which the actor said, “Directing is indeed very tough. I have worked as an assistant director before and I know how difficult it is. I have also written a short film. I was trying to write it for a long time for now and finally, I have completed it. Post lockdown I will start directing it, but I would not be acting in the film.”

We asked the actor if he would like to give reality shows a shot to which he said, “Honestly, I am not someone who plans things. If a reality show happens by chance then I will think about it.” We further asked him if he would like to start his own YouTube channel, he replied, “YouTube is not something on my mind now.”

Lastly, Mohsin said, “ Let us hope things get better soon.”
