Mitwa to go off air...

   
Star Plus and BAG Films' Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke which had a complete revamp recently with the introduction of a new family, will be going off air sometime this month end!!

According to our source, "The ratings of Mitwa post revamp have been stable, but the channel has quite a number of new shows in the pipeline. Considering all this, the channel has decided to put an end to the journey of Mitwa. Though the last airing date has not been finalized, it is heard that the channel will decide on the date in the next few days".

However, the buzz is that January 29th might be the last airing date of Mitwa.

When contacted, Shahbaz Khan who plays the role of Mamchand rubbished the news and said, "You have got a wrong news. I don't think the show is ending".

Mohit Malhotra though told us that, "I have also heard that Mitwa is going off air. But I don't know much about it as I have not been shooting for the past three days".

Malini Kapoor who plays the first wife of Vineet Raina in the show was also unaware of such a development.

We tried calling Nilanjana Puryakastha, Business Head, BAG Films, but she remained unavailable.

As per our source, "The new Hats Off show tentatively titled 'Four Sisters' will probably be the next fiction launch on Star Plus. There is a possibility of a time shift with regards to the present shows, in order to place the Hats Off show at a prime time slot. Talks about the Sphere Origins' show Tere Mere Sapne (which airs at the 8.30 PM slot) getting moved to the Mitwa slot are on, and if this happens, the Hats Off show might occupy the 8.30 PM slot".

Well, let's wait to know more on the channel's plans….
