Talk Round' Town

Mirror, Mirror - Bollywood's Reflection

In the spirit of fun, BollyCurry is taking some of our favourite actors and actresses and finding the Disney character that they most resemble.

It is unanimously agreed that everybody loves fairytales. Even those of us who claim to have outgrown them, secretly still adore the idea of a happily-ever-after and love at first sight. After all, who does not want to be swept off their feet by a handsome Prince or meet a beautiful Princess and marry her? But this article is not about fairytales. At least, not exactly. In the spirit of fun, BollyCurry is taking some of our favourite actors and actresses and finding the Disney character that they most resemble.

Prince Charming - Sidharth Malhotra

With his chocolate boy good looks and earnest mannerisms, it should come as no surprise that we find Sidharth Malhotra to most resemble Cinderella's Prince Charming. Not just Cinderella, we suppose this chiseled hunk - with his lean and muscular frame, towering over most of his leading ladies - is the Prince Charming of most of his female fan base. He has a regal bearing and oozes charisma, and we wonder who will wind up as his Cinderella. This author volunteers as tribute!
Snow White - Ileana D'Cruz

Skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, hair as black as ebony - this description is that of Snow White, but also when one thinks about it, it also matches the description of the lovely Ileana D'Cruz. She is as radiant as the stories claim Snow White to be and as sweet. Of course, the red on her lips might just be lipstick, but everything else seems to match up. Now we just need to keep her away from apples, to be on the safe side.
Sleeping Beauty's Prince - Fawad Khan

Every version of Sleeping Beauty has it written differently. However, in the Disney movie, her Prince is one she meets before falling under her curse. Who better for a Disney Prince than one who has already played a Disney Prince? Almost all of us would be willing to sing "I've walked with you once upon a dream" with the dashing Fawad Khan. His cheekbones, his smile, his entire being screams royalty. Who would not want to be woken up by his kiss?
Belle - Diana Penty

There is an innocence in Diana Penty's eyes that does nothing to hide the intelligence she also holds. Sweet, but not a pushover, innocent, but not naive, Penty embodies the looks and qualities of Belle. Coming across in some areas as shy and demure and in others as a fearsome adversary that is not afraid of the world, Diana is every bit as precious as Belle. We only wonder if she will lose herself in a book.
Flynn Rider - Jimmy Shergill

We doubt there are many people who do not like Flynn Rider. After all, he is a thief with heart. He is handsome and funny and cheeky but sincere in all the right moments. And when this author thinks of those things, the first name to pop up in her mind is Jimmy Shergill. He is perhaps not the Flynn Rider others will think of, but he is definitely the Eugene. Feel free to steal this author's heart any day, Jimmy.
Ariel - Sonakshi Sinha

Okay, so she does not have the red hair that is the trademark of Ariel, but we do think Sonakshi Sinha has the bubbly personality of the little mermaid. She is fun and optimistic and has the beautiful aura that everybody's favourite mermaid has. We cannot claim to know if she has the voice of an angel when she sings, but she definitely has legs that look like she has made a deal with a sea witch for.
With that, this author runs off to relive her childhood with a Disney movies marathon, except the faces may alter this time around. Until then, do tell us what you think precious readers? Do you agree with our assessments? Everybody has their own thoughts on the matter, so tell us in the comments below: Who do you think your favourite star resembles?
