Vibhav Roy from Star Bharat’s ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’ gets candid about his role and his excitement on doing his first ever dramedy serial.
Star Bharat is gearing up to fascinate its viewers with an amazing new series set to premiere by the end of January 2023. The show will be produced by Film Farm Productions. The show's creators have locked Vibhav Roy in the male lead role. Vibhav Roy is making his comeback in television shows after a gap of 4 years, after been a part of some well-known web series he will be soon seen as 'Som' in the Star Bharat’s upcoming show 'Meri Saas Bhoot Hai'. Speaking about the show Vibhav Roy gets candid about is character and his excitement as it’s his first ever dramedy show.
He says, “I’m immensely excited to be part of the show as the show holds a unique touch to it and talking about the genre it’s a nice blend of drama and fun which makes it a complete dramedy show. Dramedy is something I've never tried before, so this would be my first attempt. As I’ve enjoyed watching this genre a lot, and I expect to like it just as much when I play it on screen."
He adds, "I eagerly anticipate this show as an opportunity to learn because it's yet another exciting chance to do so. I'll make sure to maximize my learning potential while preparing for the character. Further talking about my character that I portray is ‘Som’, who is generally laid-back but caught between the diametrically opposed demands of his mother and grandmother. Well, he is a flash of logic in this absurd world, and he is probably the one who is least bothered by the constant arguing and banter that floods his home. The story is set in Banaras, and we intend to convey the global atmosphere while maintaining a pan-Indian appeal.”
The two central characters in the story are ‘Gaura’ and ‘Rekha’ which will be played by Kajal Chauhan and Sushmita Mukherjee respectively. The narrative of the plot will be a light drama with humorous parts to show the relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
