Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali's Shivangi Khedkar: My concentration now is on how can I do something better

Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali on Star Plus has been grabbing a lot of attention and with the upcoming twist that was revealed with the promo recently, one sure can expect a lot of drama to follow. Shivangi Khedkar, who plays the role of Pallavi in the show, spoke to India Forums and got chatty about a lot of things. Here are a few excerpts.

Ask her about her journey of 6 plus months and her work so far, she tells us, ''Well, I am nobody to judge my own performance, but I do receive messages from friends and fans who tell me that they see a lot of change with respect to acting, and the presence that I have on screen. I guess that is what people have told me, and that is the only thing I have. According to me, I feel much more confident because I was really nervous earlier. Now, my concentration is on how can I do something better unlike asking myself am I doing it right or am I doing too much, in that sense.''

About the track ahead, she tells us, ''We have had a lot of meetings and discussions over what is it that people want to see and we have come to the conclusion that they always like to see Pallavi and Raghav together, they never like them apart, so our whole track is going to run on the life of a girl who is simple and the guy who is rich, their values, their way of looking at life, there is no one coming in between.''

She adds, ''I think if people like us, the story, and our chemistry, including the comedy as well as romantic scenes, I would like to portray it simply, I don't want dramatic things, so if we touch the real-life issues, the ones that people have, a woman like Pallavi watching and relating to the character, so I like more of this track than before.''

Produced by SOL Productions and Sandiip Films, the show is based on Star Maa's Telugu series Gorintaku and also features Sai Ketan Rao in the lead role.
