Imagine TV and SOL Productions' unique female chat show Meethi Chhoorii No.1 based on an international concept finally went on air on 14th August, after a short delay in launch. However, the show has garnered mixed reviews from the audience, and has also been caught under the clutches of law.

A Little Birdie informed us that, "Before the show could go on air, Vinod Jain, Trade Union Leader registered an FIR complaint in Santacruz police station against the channel Imagine TV for the offensive statements made in the show."

When contacted, Vinod in an aggressive tone asserted, "Yes I have registered an FIR against the show after watching the promos. I found the usage of certain terms quite offensive; so I decided to take such a staunch step. Now the FIR from Santacruz will be moved on to the Amboli police station and from there it will be handed over to the Imagine TV's office."

When contacted, the host of the show Jay Bhanushali in defense of the show said, "The show has to be taken in a light way and just as a mode of fun and entertainment. Such talks are quite normal when a group of 7-8 girls sit together gossiping."
