The show is produced by Rupali Guha and Pintu Guha under their banner Film Farm Productions. The show also stars Ishhan Dhawan and Pankhuri Awasthy in prominent roles. The story of the show revolves around two girls and their respective love stories.

Now, the latest development is that popular actress Meera Deosthale of 'Udaan' and 'Vidya' fame is all set to take up a challenging role in the show.

According to our highly placed sources, Meera who's always experimented with the roles that she takes up, will be seen playing a mentally challenged character in the show. A little birdie has informed us that it is safe to say that Meera's character will be loosely inspired by Priyanka Chopra's character in 'Barfi'.

Until now, Meera has been seen portraying an athlete and an illiterate teacher in her daily soaps and looking at the actress' acting capabilities, it can be assumed that she is all set to deliver a power-packed performance in the show.

When contacted, Meera remained unavailable for comment.

'Gud Se Meetha Ishq' will also feature actors like Ananya Bellos, Vishal Chaudary, Piloo Vidyarthi, Rishi Khurana among others.
