Masaba Gupta Reveals Daughter’s Name in Heartfelt Instagram Post

Fashion designer and actress Masaba Gupta recently revealed the name of her daughter, Matara, in an emotional Instagram post. The announcement comes three months after Masaba and her husband, actor Satyadeep Misra, welcomed their first child on October 12, 2024.

On January 13, Masaba shared an adorable picture on her Instagram, showcasing her daughter’s tiny hand along with a custom gold bracelet inscribed with the name Matara. The baby was dressed in a charming white and gold printed outfit. Captioning the post, Masaba wrote, "3 months with my Matara," and elaborated on the significance of the name. "The name embodies the divine feminine energies of 9 Hindu goddesses, celebrating their strength and wisdom. Also, the star of our eyes," she explained.

The post quickly garnered attention, with celebrities like Athiya Shetty and Sanjana Ganesan leaving heartfelt comments, including red heart and nazar amulet emojis. Fans and followers also praised the unique and meaningful name, calling it "beautiful" and "stylish."

Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra tied the knot on January 27, 2023. In April 2024, Masaba announced her pregnancy, and in October, the couple welcomed their daughter. Sharing the joyous news, Masaba wrote, “Our very special little girl arrived on a very special day, 11.10.2024.”

During a recent Q&A session on social media, Masaba candidly discussed her postpartum experience. Responding to a fan’s query, she admitted, “I wish I gave myself some more time,” referring to her early return to work before completing 40 days postpartum.
