Manoj Bajpayee Opens Up About a Life-Threatening Accident Involving Manav Kaul

Manoj Bajpayee recently opened up about a near-death experience caused by Manav Kaul while shooting for the film 1971. During a conversation with Lallantop, Manoj shared how Manav’s carefree driving on hilly terrain endangered the lives of Ravi Kishan, Kumud Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal, and himself. “We had 2-3 near-death experiences during the filming of 1971,” he recalled.

Manoj described a specific incident where they were shooting a scene involving a jeep. “The jeep had to come down from a hill and stop in front of the camera, with a valley on the side. Manav was driving, and I warned him to be careful because of the tricky terrain,” Manoj said. However, Manav, who was playful and carefree at the time, chose to tease Manoj instead of taking the warning seriously.

Things took a dangerous turn when Manav lost control of the vehicle. Manoj explained, “In an attempt to mess with me, he started teasing me while driving. But he wasn’t a skilled driver, and the jeep swerved toward the valley.” The situation quickly spiraled, leaving everyone in the vehicle terrified.

“For a moment, we all thought this was the end,” Manoj shared. “Manav’s face turned pale with fear. Fortunately, a big rock stopped the jeep at the edge of the valley. I asked everyone not to move, and the team carefully helped us out of the jeep one by one. It was deadly.”

When asked about his relationship with Manav after the incident, Manoj humorously responded, “Every time I meet him now, I just swear at him!” Despite the tension of that moment, the two actors continue to share a good rapport.
