Maniben.com to shut shop; makes way for Papad Pol

Smriti Irani's Maniben.com will end on 24th June, and Optimystix' Papad Pol will occupy the 8 PM slot on SAB TV from 28th June..

Smriti Irani's comeback vehicle Maniben.com on SAB TV, after she portrayed the epitome character of Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is now winding up!!

According to our source, "Maniben.com, produced by Contiloe Telefilms will be shutting shop on 24th June, and will make way for Optimystix' new show based on the literary work of Shahabuddin Rathod, titled Papad Pol Shahabuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya. The new show which has Swapnil Joshi playing the lead role of Vanay Chand will launch on 28th June and will occupy the 8 PM slot".

When contacted, Anooj Kapoor, Business Head, SAB TV confirmed the news and said, "Yes, Maniben.com is going off air. Papad Pol will replace it from 28th June".

Recently we saw Suresh Menon making his presence felt in Maniben.com in the role of Quick Gum.

We tried calling Producer Abhimanyu Singh, Contiloe Telefilms but he was unavailable.

We also tried calling Vipul Shah from Optimystix, but he too was not available.

Papad Pol as reported earlier by TellyBuzz will see Swapnil Joshi in a very different look, that of a guy who is very ugly from outside and very soft and beautiful from within. The show has Ami Trivedi, Lavina Tandon, Abhay Harpade, Vipul Vikhlani, Purvi Vyas playing principal roles..
