Mamta Kulkarni Shares a Fun Moment When Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan Teased Her on Karan Arjun Set

Mamta Kulkarni, one of Bollywood’s most well-known actresses in the 90s, had a successful career that lasted fourteen years. She starred in nearly 40 films and worked with top actors like Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. One of her most famous films was Karan Arjun (1995), where she shared the screen with Salman, Shah Rukh, and Kajol. Recently, she made an unexpected revelation about how Salman and Shah Rukh once mocked her and even shut the door in her face.

Mamta, who has now embraced a spiritual path, spoke about this incident in an interview with India TV. When asked about allegedly yelling at her Karan Arjun co-stars, she clarified, “No, I didn’t yell at them." She then curiously asked, “Shah Rukh told you this?" before explaining what really happened.

Recalling the incident, Mamta shared that Karan Arjun’s choreographer, Chinni Prakash, was preparing for a dance sequence. While Salman and Shah Rukh had already gone for the shoot, she was waiting alone. After almost an hour and a half, Chinni Prakash’s assistant knocked on her door, asking her to come. As she climbed the stairs, both actors passed by and sniggered, but she chose to remain silent.

At 8 PM, when she finally met the choreographer, he told her, “This particular step, you will do it alone.” She was surprised but followed the instructions. The next morning, she delivered a perfect first shot, while Salman and Shah Rukh, who were watching her from behind a bush and laughing, struggled with their sequence. They had to perform on their knees among 5,000 people and took several retakes before the director finally called for pack-up.

As they rushed back to their rooms, Mamta ran along as well. However, Salman suddenly stopped her and shut the door in her face. She laughed and recalled what she had said to Salman Khan.
