Makrand Deshpande to promote Zee TV's Bhagowali..

It's cameo time for veteran theatre & Bollywood actor-director Makrand Deshpande!

The man with the wild mane has been roped in by Zee TV to promote the channel's upcoming show - 'Bhagowali –Baantein Apni Taqdeer. With the show based in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, the channel was in search of a man with a distinct rustic edge to his personality, a great voice and a remarkable screen presence. Deshpande will be seen in the show's promotional campaign as a narrator. Riding a bicycle rickshaw in the garb of a villager, Makrand will introduce the audience to the world of Runjhun, the lead protagonist of the show. 

Our source tells us, "As Makrand introduces the fortunate girl Runjhun to viewers, the girl with only her back seen will be shown playing with her dupatta. As she plays with it, there will be a rain of gold all around her".

Speaking of his role in the show, Makrand said, "Being selected for the role of a sutradhar to introduce the concept of Bhagowali is a compliment. The role of a Sutradhar is usually offered to men with powerful voices and a strong personality. The premise of Bhagowali sounds simple yet compelling and narrating it was quite interesting!"

As reported exclusively by TellyBuzz, Bhagowali will have Himanshu Malhotra and Nivedita Tiwari playing the leads. Veteran actress Rita Bhaduri will play a vital role, along with Vaishali Nazareth, Sagar Saini etc.

Makrand will also be a part of the pilot episode of the show. Sources reveal the show will premiere on Zee TV at the end of November. Watch out for this one!
