MAJOR fire breaks out on the set of Tenali Rama

A major fire broke out today on the set of Sony SAB’s popular show Tenali Rama. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the damage was minimal.

According to sources from the set, the fire started at the backside of the location and began spreading rapidly. However, the flames did not reach the main set due to favourable wind direction, preventing significant destruction. The production team acted swiftly, stopping the shoot immediately, and the fire brigade was informed. Thankfully, the fire was brought under control in time, and no injuries were reported.

Eyewitnesses mentioned that while the rear portion of the set suffered some damage, there was no major loss. The shoot was halted for approximately two hours before resuming once the situation was deemed safe. The crew and cast members were evacuated as a precautionary measure, and emergency protocols were followed efficiently.

Tenali Rama, featuring Krishna Bharadwaj in the titular role, has been a beloved show on Indian television. Other prominent actors in the series include Pankaj Berry and Manav Gohil. The show, which originally premiered in 2017, made a much-anticipated return with a second season in 2024.

Recently, the show welcomed a new entry—actress Pavitra Punia, known for her roles in Bigg Boss 14, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, and more. After a year-long hiatus from television, she made her comeback in the fantasy drama genre with Tenali Rama. Pavitra plays the pivotal role of a ‘Vishkanya’ in the ongoing storyline.

While the fire caused a temporary disruption, the production team ensured everything was swiftly controlled. Fans can rest assured that shooting has resumed, and the show will continue entertaining its audience without any major delays.
