Mahira Sharma: Donating Food To Needy Was Meant To Motivate People, Not a Publicity Stunt

We at India Forums got candid with Bigg Boss 13 contestant, Mahira Sharma. The actress was last seen with Paras Chhabra in romantic track, Baarish and the duo has been loved for their on-screen chemistry and off-screen dosti. Mahira spoke to us about her quarantine routine at home, the controversy around publicity stunt, her upcoming projects and a lot more 

Speaking about being confined to her home, Mahira said, “ I am not disliking this situation completely. I have been spending time with my family. People usually do not spend time with their families due to their hectic work schedules but now they have time to talk to their parents which is good. Apart from spending time with family, I like to watch cookery videos on YouTube. I do not cook food at home but I spend time watching food recipes. I sometimes read a book. Also, most of my time is spent with my cats.” Mahira also spoke to us about people mistreating animals owing to the misconception of animals spreading coronavirus. She said, “Animals cannot speak and the least we humans can do is treat them nicely during this critical situation.”

We asked the actress about her upcoming project with Nick, she said, “We were working on a song, Chaar Choodiyan but we couldn’t complete shooting the track because of the lockdown. Hopefully, things will get back to normal soon and song will be released thereafter.”

Mahira threw some light about the video she uploaded on Instagram where the actress could be seen donating basic necessities to people in need. For those who do not know, their act was taken as a publicity stunt and Mahira retaliated on that. She said, “Our only motive was to motivate other people to help the ones in need. I have no words for people who are considering this as a publicity stunt. Paras and I need no publicity after coming out of Bigg Boss house.” Speaking about Bigg Boss 13 being aired on TV currently, the actress said, “No, I am not watching the show. Let bygones be bygones.” She also said, “Paras is the only one I am still in touch with after Bigg Boss. His name has been saved as Aabra Ka Dabra on my phone(laughs).”

Signing off, Mahira said, “Please try to stay inside. It is better to be at home than being in the hospital.”
