Madirakshi Mundle, who is known for her shows such as Siya Ke Ram as well as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, says that she loves it when people appreciate her work. She adds that she likes to only make her work-related details public to avoid any distraction.

Acting happened both in the movies and TV by accident. I was practising professionally as an interior designer in Hyderabad. Fortunately, and rather interestingly, my first project, Siya Ke Ram, was shot entirely in Ramoji Rao, and I barely visited Mumbai.

“It is the love, affection and respect from people across all walks of life. When I get approached by audiences in public places who express their appreciation for my work, I am so happy to know that it has touched them and stayed with them. It gives you a sense of satisfaction,” she says.

She adds, “Some things are called personal for a reason, and they should certainly stay that way. Just because you are a public figure doesn’t mean everyone should know everything there is to know. I think it is simply a matter of exercising good judgment not just for public figures but also for others who post about their lives on social media.”

Talking about her acting journey, she says, “Acting happened both in the movies and TV by accident. I was practising professionally as an interior designer in Hyderabad. Fortunately, and rather interestingly, my first project, Siya Ke Ram, was shot entirely in Ramoji Rao, and I barely visited Mumbai. Post that, when I stepped into Mumbai for my second project, I had already done a once-in-a-lifetime project even before moving here. From there on, your choices dictate outcomes. My character, Shaina, is the negative lead in Qayamat se Qayamat Tak on Colors TV. I‘ve done plenty of mythology. Some challenges are a part of life here, I think, and everyone goes through their share of ups and downs. You keep your eyes peeled for that one role always. You want variety in your work, you want to reach newer and bigger audiences and new mediums. I had the support I wanted honestly for my work. So no opposition as such, really. You have to keep trying new things, just like any other field of work. It’s a lot of fun, and I enjoy it thoroughly.”
