Lord Shiv's saga of triumph over Tripurasur unfolds on COLORS’ 'Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav’

Colors Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav' continues to recount the universe's first love story, by underlining Lord Shiv (Ram Yashvardhan) and Goddess Parvati’s (Subha Rajput) journey of tap, tyag and tandav. In the current track, their son Kartikeya turns seven and his strength has flourished as a young warrior. While he battles the Asuras, showcasing his prowess in combat, Shiv, the vigilant and watchful deity, keeps a close eye on his son.   

Amidst all of this, Tarkasur and his sons, Tripurasur, declare war against Lord Shiv. In the middle of the intense battle, the sons decide to unleash Lord Shiv's powerful astra. In a courageous move to shield Lord Shiv from the impending attack, Surupa (Kartikeya’s foster mother) steps in harm's way and bears the brunt of the assault. The sight of Surupa wounded by the astral force ignites an overwhelming fury within Lord Shiv. However, fueled by rage and grief, Lord Shiv channels his divine strength to vanquish Tripurasur. The battlefield becomes a manifestation of Shiva's wrath as he defeats the adversary.  

Surupa is on the brink of death following the vicious attack and the only glimmer of hope lay in the hands of Yamraj, the god responsible for determining the fate of souls. However, Kartikey, renowned for his extraordinary speed, intervened just in the nick of time. Swift as the wind, he intercepted Surupa's departing soul before it could reach Yamraj. With a deft and timely maneuver, Kartikey returned the soul to Surupa, miraculously saving her from the clutches of death.
