Lock Upp contestant Nisha Rawal: I am made of many more things than just one controversy

Nisha Rawal, who was last seen in Zee TV show Meet, was in the news earlier after she filed a domestic abuse complaint against ex-husband Karan Kundrra. During a press conference, she also showed her injuries as a result of physical abuse, and mentioned further, how she is only looking to get her son Kavish's custody through the entire process.

And now, she is a part of Kangana Ranaut hosted shoe, Lock Upp. While she was very excited to be on such an adventurous and thrilling show, India Forums got in touch with her for an interview, and here's what the conversation looked like.

What made you pick this show up? 

What made me pick up this show was that in between the whole rush of reality shows, with due respect to all makers, I believe that since I come from an advertising background, I never really saw a reason to take up a reality show because I have bene content with what I am doing. When this show was offered to me, they were looking for someone who had the brains to carry a conversation, who had an opinion, who has the strength and courage to support that and would take action on it and that is something that clicked with me. I took my time to think about it because I had to think about other aspects of my life, I have Kavish and he is so little, and other things, since I was doing a show on ZEE, and then business, etc, I had to think about it practically. Once I analyzed it, I thought I wanted to do it.

In future, if you ae offered Bigg Boss, would you take it up?

If I think I had fun on this show and I was able to connect with the audience, then I will say a yes, but if I think this space was not for me, then maybe a no. 

To what extent are you prepared to unveil your secrets, and how do you intend to get through it?

To an extent that is dignified and brings pride to people who love me. This has been the only controversy that has been in my entire life, so the question to most of the people asking me is are you here because of the controversy, but that is something on the makers, but that does not mean that is the only thing I am made up of, and there are other things in my life. Having said that, I am comfortable doing it to an extent that I feel it is important, I want to inspire people to stand up for what is right and not take injustice from someone.

What would you say is your biggest fear being a part of this show?

Even if a normal person faces the camera, they have a fear and that is why it is called a challenge, because it is not very pleasant and it is not a cakewalk, it is not like you want to do it and you choose to do it. The only fear is that you feel that the entire world is looking at you. I believe that I am ready to talk only about that part that will help people, it has nothing to do with what happened between me and my ex husband. What matters is if so and so situation happens and how you should deal with it and how I dealt with it is the whole crux of the matter. Nisha Rawal is made of many more things than just one controversy in her life.

On having Kangana as the host...

She is a woman of substance truly, she is strong, she is fearless and not afraid to stand for what she believes in not caring 100 people don't believe in her and she stands strongly with her opinion and she has her own research and truth that backs it up, whether I agree or disagree to that, I admire this quality in her.
