Vishal Malhotra is a tired man these days. Before he can enjoy his post-IPL break, he has to rush between studios for film shoots as he has a pretty impressive list of films to his credit.

Life has become boring after IPL - Vishal Malhotra
"There are too many things happening at the same time. Jannat, where I play Imran Hashmi's friend is doing well. Aziz Mirza's Kismat connection, where I have a significant role is scheduled for a release in July and Ravi Chopra's Banda Yeh Bindas Hai and Rajashri's Ek Vivah Aisi Bhi are scheduled for a release during the festive season (Diwali) later this year,” says the handsome actor.

But how did Vishal venture into the IPL? “I was actually being considered for the latest season of Indian Idol, but the dates were not matching. For Indian Idol, they needed continuous dates for few months, whereas I already had some prior commitments. As a second option, the IPL host's role was offered to me. I wasted no time in grabbing it immediately. Firstly because it was cricket, a game I have been passionate about since my childhood. And secondly because it required commitment from me for only 45 days,” explains the actor.

"Frankly speaking life has become very boring after IPL. For these 45 days, everything was moving at jet speed. Hotel rooms became my home and aircrafts my daily mode of transport! The daily excitement was irresistible...now suddenly it seems like I have no work!” says Vishal who’s free and frank hosting of the matches have won him many accolades. “I think what really helped me was my age (25). Most of the players were of my age bracket and thus I could talk to them as friends and not a television anchor. I feel that helped them open up more and speak more naturally,” concludes the host before rushing for a shoot.
