Leysan Karimova shares her experience of working with Ishaan Khatter in Pippa, calls him ‘a friend on set’

Actress Leysan Karimova is currently experiencing a happy phase in her career and the credit goes to her newly released film- Pippa directed by Raja Krishna Menon. She played an important role in the film and was also a lead in the song ‘Main Parwaana’ composed by A.R Rahman and sung by Arijit Singh.

Apart from Leysan, the film stars Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur and many more. Recently, Leysan got in a conversation with us and answered a few questions.

What role are you playing the film?

I am essaying the character of Zena, who is a Russian interpreter. She holds a great importance in story. I was also a lead in the song ‘Main Parwaana’.

Share your working experience with your co-star Ishaan Khatter?

I had a great experience working with Ishaan. He is truly a sweet, down-to-earth and kind person. I really like the way he comes up with so many ideas every time and stays positive. And needless to say, is about his level of energy and impeccable dance moves. Personally, I had an amazing camaraderie with Ishaan and he was a friend on set for me. We used to discuss a lot about our scenes and dance moves. I remember that once there were some dance steps which I couldn’t do, so he immediately asked the choreographer to change them a bit.

Feedback from the audience plays a crucial role in an actor’s life. So, what kind of reviews are you receiving for your performance in the film?

Well, I have been receiving an incredible response from the audience. People are actually messaging me to praise my performance in the film. I am happy to strike a chord with the audience through my performance. It feels so satisfying when your hard work gets praise and appreciation.
