Let's Awaken to new Horizon!

As India gets older by another year, let's talk to young India and about Gen X of India, as how it feels to celebrate on the occasion of August 15th...

 Lets Awaken to New Horizon...

The secret of happiness is freedom. The secret of freedom is courage

Another Independence Day has dawned and we are celebrating the joy, pride and triumph of Democracy. We have shown the world that poverty, massive illiteracy and diversity cannot come in the way of development and progress! Despite all odds we are still together and fighting, and that's what makes a True India.

We Indians have always been vocal about successes and challenges, we battle with inflation and corruption, we never lost hopes of peace in spite of several attempts to tarnish it.We reel from setbacks only to bounce back with new ideas voiced by new voices and young hearts, after all the jinx of Olympic Gold is broken now, after 28 years..Let's aim and shoot together for prosperous and Vibrant India and also let's get candid with stars of Television and get their views on today's India...

Karan Wahi:

The leader you think can make a debut on television: No one; I think all are good in their own field. The only thing I suggest to all our leaders is that they should stick to their political field only!!

Your favorite patriotic movie and song: From the recent lot of movies, if I have to name then it would be ‘Lakshya’ and one patriotic song that I remember is A.R. Rahman’s ‘Vande Mataram’.

Have you heard the President/Prime Minister’s message on the eve of Independence day: I have heard it long time back when I used to enjoy watching the parade, but I don’t remember the message now.

Message to the young generation of India: I would tell the young generation that India is free country and we should make most of it.

Prachi Desai:

The leader you think can make a debut on television: Laloo Prasad Yadav and Atal Bihari Vajpayee will surely look cute in television. In fact, Lalooji looked so nice when he was in Paanchvi Pass…

Your favorite patriotic movie and song: Favorite film has to be ‘Mother India’ and favorite song will be ‘Mere Desh Ki Dharti’..

Have you heard the President/Prime Minister’s message on the eve of Independence day: Ohh!! I have not heard any message given by our President or Prime Minister. Actually, now that you asked me, I am really feeling embarrassed that I have never heard it. But I used to hear the messages given by my Principal on Independence Day (Smiles).

Message to the young generation of India: I would give my message in one line that ‘Live your dream’ and if you want to get more inspiration watch ‘Rock On’, my film. That would be a bigger inspiration to the younger lot than my words.

Priya Wal:

The leader you think can make a debut on television: I think politicians should stick to their job only. But if I have to choose one, then it will be Rahul Gandhi as he is very handsome (grins).

Your favorite patriotic movie and song: I would say the favorite has to be ‘Lagaan’ , but I cannot remember any song right now..

Message to the young generation of India: Nowadays youth are quite smart. I would suggest they should make their own opinion.

Rajeev Khandelwal:

The leader you think can make a debut on television: Laloo Prasad Yadav would surely make a great television star..

Your favorite patriotic movie and song: Aamir has to be the best film and song will be 'Himmat Watan Ki Humpe Hai'

Have you heard the President/Prime Minister’s message on the eve of Independence day: Yes, I have heard it once.. But I feel that to be more scripted and not coming directly from the heart.

Message to the young generation of India: Well, I also belong to the 'Young category'. So what message can I give....

Amit Verma:

The leader you think can make a debut on television: Rahul Gandhi as he is very handsome. Also, many people tell me that I look like him(laughs, kidding) He is the best looking guy and I am sure he will make it good in Television...

Your favorite patriotic movie and song: In recent times, my best movie is 'Lagaan and the song Chalo Chale is the best..

Have you heard the President/Prime Minister’s message on the eve of Independence day: I have not heard it as unfortunately, I don't agree with the way our country is going ahead i.e in terms of ideology and in politics. India in spite of being so ahead is back because of politics. I don't like the manner in which all give great speeches, but at the same time, instigate people to fight.

Message to the young generation of India: Independence Day does not mean hoisting flag, eating good food; but I feel that everyone should do something in the smallest way possible to help the nation like cleaning the road, planting trees etc...

We have the freedom!  Respect it! Value it ! Cherish it!

Loved Priya's answer abt the msg to the youth of today n I so totally agree that Lagaan was one outstanding movie....and knowing her to be a huge Aamir fan no wonder she voted for that movie.

Loved Karans choice of song too......A.R.Rehmans Vande Mataram always manages to reinstate this feeling of patriotism everytime I listen to it
