Actor Vikkas Manaktala, who came into the limelight through his role of Amardeep Huda in popular TV show "Left Right Left", says his Haryanvi avatar in that show helped him bag his upcoming show "Ghulaam".
The makers of "Ghulaam" were sure of casting Vikkas as wrestler Veer, which is a character with many shades.
"I got approached for the role of Veer because of my character of Amardeep Huda in 'Left Right Left'. Since my character had a Haryanvi dialect, and so will my character Veer in 'Ghulaam', I was the first choice to play this role," Vikkas said in a statement.
"I was the first one to get locked from the cast even before the pilot was shot as I believed in this project from the time I heard the narration and I am confident that the viewers will love it too," he added.
"Ghulaam" will air on Life OK from March 16 onwards. The show will replace "Nagarjun - Ek Yoddha".
The show also has Niti Taylor and Param Singh in the lead roles.
