Lata Mangeshkar tests positive for COVID-19 admitted to ICU, doctor said she is also suffering from pneumonia

The speed with which the cases of Corona are increasing across the country has increased everyone's concerns. So far, many stars from Bollywood to the TV world have come under the grip of the third wave. 

Now veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar's corona test has come positive, after which she has been admitted to the ICU of the hospital. 

The 92-year-old singer is currently admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Moreover the news of her hospitalisation may have come now, but the fact is that she has been in the hospital since Saturday night.

Dr Pratik Samdhani from Breach Candy hospital, who has been taking care of Lata Mangeshkar for the past few years, confirmed to a news portal, 

"Lata Mangeshkar was admitted on Saturday night and yes she is also suffering from pneumonia."

Lata Mangeshkar's niece Rachna has confirmed this. She has appealed to the fans to pray for Didi.

While talking to news agency ANI, Rachna while giving information about the health of Lata Mangeshkar said that 'she is fine now. Considering her age, precaution has been taken and kept in ICU. Please respect our privacy and pray for Didi.

Her spokesperson also informed to a news portal, 

"Lata Didi showed mild COVID symptoms. So she has been kept in ICU under observation at the Breach Candy hospital as a precautionary measure. The family requests the media to let Lata didi rest and recover and come back home soon."
